Chiropractor Receives Toastmaster’s Award

Dr. Richard E. Plummer is the 2004 recipient of the Toastmasters International’s District 58 Communication and Leadership Award. The award was presented to Dr. Plummer by District Governor Bill May at a luncheon during the District’s Spring Conference in Columbia on May 1, 2004.

Doctor Plummer maintains a private chiropractic practice at the Springfield Straight Chiropractic Office in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. Richard is presently on the postgraduate faculty for both Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic and Life University. He is an extension faculty member for Sherman College’s Extern Program and an instructor for the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. He is a former associate professor at Sherman College where he also served five years as the college’s Director of Alumni Affairs, Student Recruitment, and Fundraising.

Plummer is considered as one of the finest chiropractic communicators in the country as well as a master of media communications. He has over twenty-five years of experience and has appeared on over 600 radio and TV shows. Plummer taught chiropractic communication for 12 years on the college level.
