Who
is Ed Tate?
Besides
earning the formidable title of Toastmasters International's
2000 World Champion of Public Speaking, Ed Tate leads Ed Tate
& Associates LLC. He has given Fortune 500 companies, organizations
and teams of all sizes, as well as individuals and entrepreneurs,
the tools and expertise they need to lead, manage, motivate
and sell. As a former executive, Ed's success in business spans
over two decades. Strong leadership is critical during times
of change and chaos. Ed Tate has witnessed it firsthand. On
September 11th, he was there watching the master, Rudy Giuliani.
In 2001 he led a transition team to merge two 100-year-old rivals,
The Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post. Ed will share valuable
lessons learned about leadership during turbulent times, the
actions which leaders must take when implementing or responding
to change, and show you how to cope with the everyday turbulence
in your lives.

District Officer Elections - Saturday Afternoon
On Saturday
afternoon, we will hold the District 58 Council meeting. The
Club President and Vice President of Education are both members
of the District 58 Council. Should either officer be unable
to attend a District Council meeting, he or she may designate,
in writing (the proxy), another active member of their club
to act as their representative at the Council meeting. Each
member of the District 58 Council can carry up to two votes.
A District Officer (Area and Division Governors, District Governor,
LGET, LGM, etc.) can carry up to three votes, two from his/her
clubs and one vote as a District Officer. All Club
Presidents and Vice Presidents of Education need to be present
- or sign a proxy to appoint a representative for your club
in the election. We will be electing our District
Officers (District Governor, Lt. Governor of Education and
Training, Lt. Governor of Marketing and Division Governors)
