District 58 Pins
In
the past, the District Governor has produced a limited edition,
one-of-a-kind pin designed for the members of District 58. We
have reinstated that tradition. These pins are definitely
collectors items and they show our slogan for the year. The pin
is done in raised gold metal, and filled with enamel. It
represents our District with 22 small stars for our Areas and 5 large
stars for our Divisions. The rainbow stands for our shining
possibilities and the fulfillment of our goals and dreams. All you have to do to get one is to do something to move Toastmasters forward in our District. Attend Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) or attend a District conference. Recruit 4 members. Earn an educational award. Attend a meeting where the District Governor or LGET or LGM has been invited to come and make a special presentation to your club. If you charter a new club or resurrect a dying club with 6 or fewer members, not only will YOU get one of these pins, you will be invited to present one to each of the new club members!!! (And one of the Top 3 District Officers will come to the presentation to recognize you!) These pins are given as a very special token of appreciation to YOU for your participation, for what you do, because you Dare to be Great of Toastmasters! Your first opportunity to get the newest District 58 Pin will be the TLI events in January and February. Pins will be given out at the registration table at each TLI to every officer or member who attends. Charleston TLI will be held on January 14. Columbia TLI will be held on January 28, and Greenville TLI will be held on February 4. Plan to attend. Wear your pin back to your next club meeting...and when someone how you got your pin, tell them....it's in recognition of what you have done to promote Toastmasters in our District. Tell them they can get one too! Remember that our challenge is to help others find their voice and serve their world. When we do that, we make a difference in people's lives! |
