"Working the Plan" is the theme for the mid-year District 58 Toastmasters Club Officers training in Columbia, Saturday, January 20, in Gambrell Hall at the University of South Carolina campus from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost for this exciting and informative afternoon of training is minimal at only $5 per person for registrations postmarked by January 12, 2001. At the Leadership Training Institute in July, the emphasis was on "planning the work" i.e., the Distinguished Club Plan. This January session will emphasize "Working the Plan." It will be a time of analyzing where your club stands and planning specifically how to achieve both club and member goals that remain. The Toastmaster gift certificates that were such a hit last January will be available once again. Clubs will receive a $5 gift certificate for every officer in attendance. In addition, Clubs having all officers in attendance on January 20 may choose in lieu of gift certificates either the entire "Successful Club Series" or "The Better Speaker Series." It is suggested that club officers get together and carpool to the event. The travel time is an excellent opportunity for team building and camaraderie. Dress "comfortably casual". Look for the registration form along with complete information on the day's activities, and let's have another wonderful day of training on January 20 at USC. |
