For the 2000-2001 Toastmaster year, District 58 produced a fine crop of President's, Select and Distinguished Clubs. These clubs planned their work and then worked their plan - The Distinguished Club Plan, that is. In addition to completing specific activities of the Distinguished Club Plan, each of these clubs also had to finish the year with a membership of 20 or more or a net growth of 5 new members. By now, each club should have received from Toastmasters International a ribbon for the club banner denoting the livel of achievement.

These clubs were instrumental in helping District 58 achieve a ranking of #14 out of 77 Districts in the world to be honored as a Distinguished District. We have already heard from a number of these clubs that are planning to repeat as President's Distinguished Clubs, it is not too late for your club to be recognized as a Distinguished (or better!) Club by June 30. If you plan it, you can achieve it. |
