District 58 2001/2002 Co-Area Governors of the Year

Ahold Toastmasters Club’s Dorothy
Cobb with Joanne Alderman

Focused, forward thinking, dedicated, organized, are all adjectives that describe the District 58 2001/2002 Co-Area Governor of the Year, Advanced Toastmasters-Bronze Dorothy Cobb. Dorothy and her co-recipient Mikhail Agrest, set a torrid pace throughout the year encouraging the clubs in their Areas to go beyond Distinguished and reach for President’s Distinguished Club recognition. Both recipients are President’s Distinguished Areas Governors of the only two Areas (out of seventeen Areas) to be so recognized.

Dorothy lead seven clubs of which her home club, Ahold, was President’s Distinguished, two clubs were Select Distinguished, and one club Distinguished. Additionally, she is a sponsor of District 58 newest Toastmasters Club, The Streamers (sic) Toastmasters Club #2947. Governor Anderson remarked that Dorothy was truly surprised to be selected. And Dorothy didn’t believe she had done enough.
