Dolphin Club celebrated its 50th anniversary on Saturday, May 13 at 5:30 pm. In attendance were Dana Swarner and Bob Swarner, current and incoming District 58 TRIO members and prior district governors, Carroll Cash and Ellen Reid.
Chartered in April 1967, the club memorabilia at the affair included a President’s Distinguished award from 1973. In the current year, Dolphin attained President’s Distinguished win in only 10 months.
The Dolphin club was formed at the U.S. Navy Fleet Ballistics Training Center. The club generated 14 DTMs and 16 district officers, facts North Charleston mayor R. Keith Summey noted in his proclamation of May 13 as Dolphin Toastmasters Club Day.
