Winter Leadership Training Institute Set in Sumter
A "must attend" event for club officers.
Karen Alexander, DTM
Lt. Governor Education & Training
District 58's Winter Leadership Training Institute for all club and district officers will be held on Saturday, January 15, at Central Carolina College, Sumter, South Carolina, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Why is attendance at this training important? First, order to earn credit toward the Distinguished Club Program, officers are required to attend officer training both in July and January. Those officers who attended in July will be helping their clubs meet this training requirement by their presence in January. Second, if you are a club officer and did not attend the July training, you expecially need the help and information provided by these classes.
In addition to officer training, Wendell and Barbara Bakke are back by popular demand to present their program on "Tracks, Tracks, Tracks." Robbie Romeiser will offer insights on "Building the Team," and Eileen Jago will explain the new Distinguished Club Program in detail.
After a delicious lunch, your "top three" District Officers, Linda Wright, Karen Alexander and Geneva Anderson will hold a panel discussion addressing all those topics you always wanted to know about but didn't know whom to ask! We will round out the afternoon with Ray and Patricia Hill conducting a seminar on contest judging. Become a certified contest judge by completing this seminar.
You will find registration information on Page 6 as well as complete driving directions on Page 8. The cost is only $18 and includes lunch. May we suggest that clubs get together and carpool? Make it a truly fun day of learning and planning for a great finish to this Toastmaster year.
