A telephone tree for promoting district events was proposed during an informal discussion at a Palmetto Mastercrafters club meeting held February 15, 2002. Kitty Carlisle, Palmetto Mastercrafters VP Public Relations, said that the discussion was a result of feedback that she, Division B Governor James Carpenter, and presenters for a Training Leadership Institute received from clubs claiming that they never received information about the TLI. E-mail messages promoting the training included its agenda and registration form. It is believed that a significant number of members do not utilize e-mail regularly. The phone tree would be used to alert all members to the fact that the Spring District Conference agenda and registration form is available on the District 58 website.
