Community Clubs
  • Listen.
  • Invite others.
  • Publicize your events.
  • Advertise your club.
  • Have a professional meeting.
  • Promote Table Topics.
  • Get out into the community.
  • Get out and speak.
  • Be flexible.
  • Be bold and decisive.
  • Call former members.
  • Do exit interviews.
  • Use the easy sell vs hard sell approach.
  • Invite a friend.
  • Print personal testimony.
  • Construct a web page with testimony.
  • Have everything ready.
  • Don't be embarrassed.
  • Don't apologize.
  • Explain the various jobs from the visitors point of view.
  • Have a membership drive day.
  • Conduct light hearted Table Topics.
  • Provide a guest packet.
  • Conduct a formal induction of new members.
  • Set goals with dates.
  • Invite members and guests to conferences.
Company Clubs
  • Target movers and shakers.
  • Have members set goals and incorporate them into their reviews.
  • Promote goals.
  • Hold a Demo Meeting for other departments.
  • Hold and introtuction to Toastmasters during orientation.
  • Promote community awareness for participation.
  • Invite a speaker of topical interest.
  • Identify "fade away" members.
  • Hold creative and enjoyable meetings.
  • Have fun.
  • Change your date or time and take a poll.
  • Obtain management support.
  • Expand your reach.
  • Let managers become recruiters for Toastmasters.
  • Get company participation on membership fees.
  • Have a free lunch.
  • Send visitors an e-mail.
