DISTRICT 58 TOASTMASTERS

International Speech speaker

THE LINK TO YOUR FUTURE AND TO THE WORLD

Why Go To Training?

This is the top requirement of being an officer (check your officer's manual - when you accept your office you commit to attend training), however, the goal of being a Toastmaster is to grow professionally and gaining knowledge. As a leader, you will learn valuable skills to make your job easier and successful. Your goal as an officer is to improve your club. By going beyond your club and meeting other Toastmasters, you will gain new ideas and know-how. You will find inspiration, innovation, and instruction. This is a wonderful networking opportunity. You will meet with the District 58 leadership team. You can give them valuable insight into your club. You can personally tell them what you think or ask questions. Prepared and equipped, you can better serve the members of your club. When you meet and talk with other Toastmasters club officers, you will begin to formulate how your club can become distinguished, even President's Distinguished AND by attending you are helping your club achieve one of the goals in the distinguished club program.

How Much Time Will This Take?

Training is only half a day. Toastmasters International requires four hours of training twice a year for club officers. You will only be giving up part of a Saturday. And just think of all you will gain with a little investment of time.

How Much Does It Cost?

For the minimal charge of $12, you will receive educational materials and lunch. You MUST register to have a lunch reserved for you.

What Will We Do?

The day will be filled with beneficial sessions; some specific to an officer's role;others more generic. If you have ever wanted to be a judge for a speech contest, there will be training available.
